Flamesafe FS 900+ Series Sealant

FlameSafe FS 900+ Sealant is cost-effective & cures to form a flexible shield against fire/smoke. Usable in various construction/architecture joint configurations. A versatile solution for many through-penetration & joint construction settings.

  • Elastomeric, Versatile and economical, Non-sag or Self-leveling grades

  • No VOCs, non-toxic, low odor, paintable, Interior grade, will not damage plastic pipes or cable jackets.

  • UL classified & Factory Mutual approved. Firestop systems listed for through penetration & joint systems. Listed in systems with up to 4-hr fire rating. Tested to UL 1479 (ASTM E814), UL 2079 (ASTM E1966 and E1399), UL 723 (ASTM E84).

  • Sound transmission tested in accordance with ASTM E90 and Sound Transmission Class (STC) Rating 62

  • No solvents, silicones or outgassing. Water-based, easy to use and clean up. Excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates and penetrants and easy to apply

FlameSafe FS 900+ Uses

FlameSafe FS 900+ is usually used to seal:

  • Pipe and cable penetrations between fire-rated walls

  • Top and bottom of fire-rated walls

  • Joints between drywall and cementitious fireproofing

Rockwool Comfortbatt®

  • ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt® is used to fill in penetrations prior to seal endings with FlameSafe FS 900+

  • ROCKWOOL Comfortbatt® is a semi-rigid stone wool thermal batt insulation for exterior wood and steel stud applications.

  • Non-combustible and fire resistant, Comfortbatt® will not develop toxic smoke or promote flame spread, even when exposed directly to a fire. It also offers water and moisture resistance and excellent sound absorbency.

Product Data

  • MONOKOTE® MK-6 HY and MK-6s are single component, spray applied, mill-mixed fire resistive plasters. MK-6 HY and MK-6s have approval for use on structural steel members and fluted decking to provide up to four hours of fire protection, and on flat plate cellular decking for up to three hours with SPATTERKOTE® SK-3.

  • The thickness of the Monokote application is determined by the weight of the beam it is being applied to. This ensures that the fireproofing layer is tailored to the specific needs of each structure, providing optimal fire safety.

  • The versatility of Monokote makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential structures. With its reliability and durability, Monokote offers peace of mind and reassurance in fire protection.
